The story: Spanning both our world and the shared fantasy realm of the tabletop role-playing game they enjoy, The Ordinary Epic tells the tale of a group of friends and their fictional counterparts, with reclusive Athena as the narrator and all other characters of the fantasy world she created, mercurial Emo as the half-orc berserker Thack, stickler Dominic as the elven mage Caelus, shy Daniel as the quick-witted rogue Merrick, and earnest Marcus as the healer and priest Benedict. While in game the gang pursues dangerous artifacts that could spell disaster for all; the people at the table have their own turmoil to contend with as matters of the personal, professional, and heart come head to head.
